Oakleigh Pistol Club National Come and Try
Oakleigh Pistol Club is one of a few Melbourne metropolitan pistol clubs and supports multiple disciplines in pistol shooting.
It is important that prior to registering for the ‘Come and Try’ program at the Oakleigh Pistol Club that you read the Victorian Police document ‘Notification of Receiving Instruction ’and make sure you are eligible to shoot a pistol in the State of Victoria
There are several different forms of pistol shooting which vary in distance, stance, format and calibre of ammunition.
Through pistol clubs associated with Pistol Australia you can try different disciplines which can include calibres ranging from .177 (Air Pistol) to .38 (Centre Fire) aiming at stationary targets between 10m – 50m away. Olympic events for Pistol include 10m Air Pistol, 25m Pistol Women and 25m Rapid Fire Pistol.
