ICORE, the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts was found in 1991 by shooter Mike and Sharon Higashi. ICORE is a match following a similar concept to the IPSC structure with the exception of a revolver only match. Where targets and scoring are different compared to IPSC.
There are Classic, Limited and Open divisions, where the Classic division offers the use of six shot revolvers and speed loaders. Limited division competitors are required to use stock pistols. Open divisions offer competitors to have modifications and add ons to their equipment.
Competitors of ICORE matches are required to have a holster, loader and load holders. Speed loaders and moon-clips are permitted for personal preferences. Revolvers used in the matches must be of a .32 or greater in calibre.
